Pelosi's plane This was discussed seriously in open congress. Seriously. Pelosi makes valid points and the whole thing's not as ridiculous as it appears at first. Why not a plane that makes the cross-country trip non-stop? She is Speaker of the House, after all. Quit saying it's like the extravagance of decadent Rome, this is not Rome, this is America! And she does have a large traveling family and actual working, hard working, retinue. Those things are real. This is the most gigantic government ever! Do you understand how uckingfay igbay it is? Now, you might say the government already has plenty of planes going back and forth continuously, she can hitch, or you might say her personal wealth excludes such extravagant perks, and that it's just another careless expense to the hard-working plebe, or you might suggest flying commercial is fine, or you might say her family shouldn't be included in all this travel. Irrelevant! One more thing while we're on it and since the los estúpidos will probably prevail on this anyway, all this so-called apparent extravagance in no manner conflicts with her role as Speaker of the House of the GNoE and spokesperson and chief proponent for global climate change, so don't even think about it. Morons. Oh, that chart up there, called Death and Taxes in case the link to the copyrighted material becomes broken causing one to search, is now a fixture in the vastness of the internets. It does not include Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security, which are universes unto themselves. It's a shame the chart so seriously misrepresents the organization of the US Government, for all its splendid research "straight from the White House" it would earn an "F" mark in civics, it otherwise makes the point very well, go on then and click it, the US government is huge beyond imagining, and an unthinkable amount of money funds military in favor of social programs. Can you begin to imagine a world when that's allowed to change? |
